About

I am a Neuro-specialist Consultant Clinical Psychologist with over 15 years of experience working with neurological conditions. I hold a NHS role in as Clinical Lead within an NHS Neurotherapy Service and I am the Director of Ferguson Psychology Services (FPS).  I am a Stakeholder Consultant and Visiting Lecturer on the Neuropsychology Module at the University of Hertfordshire Doctorate in Clinical Psychology Training Programme, and have also lectured regularly on the MSc in Clinical Psychology Course.

As a clinician I am passionate about neurorehabilitation. I enjoy working with clients of all ages living with neurological conditions. I have a particular interest in recovery following brain injury, stroke & spinal injury. In my experience, optimum recovery is supported through a  person centred therapeutic approach that looks to centre rehabilitation through the interests and strengths a clients holds. A rehabilitation team should work collaboratively with one another, clients and their family to support growth and recovery. Realistic values driven goal setting plays a fundamental role in this process.

I believe that neuropsychology can play a supportive role in helping clients and their families adjust to impact of injury, or neurological condition. As a practitioner I look to work in a way that best suits each client, family, team or organisation. As people we are all different, therefore, the relationship and approach we each respond to will be different. I pride myself on being flexible, pragmatic and positive in approach.
